Cub Scout Leader : Joanne Hinchliffe

Assistant Cub Scout Leaders: Nicola Sill, Kevin Sill, Gemma Sill.

Cubs will enjoy a great deal of fun and adventure whilst in the Pack. They will also have opportunities to gain awards and badges. These badges are given to recognise the effort made by each youngster at their own level of development and understanding. The Cub programme includes such activities as

  • Camping

  • Caring for the environment

  • Model making

  • Cooking

  • First aid

  • Exploring

  • Helping others

As well as the normal meetings, we have one-day activities such as hiking, fun-days with other Cub Packs, watching football. We also go on weekend camps, usually twice a year.

We also take part in the Pike View hike, and won the Pip Hartley Memorial Hike in 2006.

The Cub Scout Promise

I promise to do my best,
To do my duty to God and to The Queen,
To help other people and to keep the Cub Scout Law.

The Cub Scout Law

A Cub Scout always does their best,
thinks of others before themselves and does a good turn every day.
